The simulated hardware shuttle bus is built by the Parallax Evaluation board Arduino UNO Rev3, electronic components, and PlayRobot Boe-Bot car. In our hardware building and software development, we implement the autopilot shuttle bus to develop the simulated environment of the driverless platform. For solving the traffic congestion problems in the rush hour, we must have to provide the shuttle bus system to reduce the vehicles on the road and transfer the passengers more efficient. We can combine the shuttle bus system with the intelligent transportation system to develop the smart transportation system. The platform system can reduce the driver loading and even is the driverless system using the electronic components. The platform is built by the electronic control units. The electronic control units are set up by the Arduino UNO microprocessors, the light sensors, the eight-way line laser sensor modules, the ultrasonic sensing devices, and the Parallax continuous rotation servos. The microprocessors access the sensing information to calculate and analyze. Then the microprocessors drive the driverless car to keep on the organized paths. The platform is established available for the future research. We can plan to replace car as the real vehicle and build more stable tracking path system.
