Facing the current situations offood self-sufficiency rate’s being merely 30%, which comes in last in the list of developed countries, and the food safety scandals’ keeping emerging in an endless stream, how to re-forge Taiwan’s agricultural value, is the core value for the farmers’ associations, whichhave taken root in Taiwan for more than 110 years, to do the re-thinking for their existence. While pursuing enterprise-style management to create the profit maximization of the credit department, the farmers’ associations shall remember with reverence and fulfillthe promise of ensuring the farmers’ rights and interests, and assume the corporate social responsibility of promoting the agricultural and rural development, beinga significant task for the farmers’ associations at this moment. The goal of the research was to understand the farmers’ association’s practice of corporate social responsibility (CSR), and explore howthefarmers’associationcould be more positive to learn to take the CSRin the future, to offer the subsequent researchers as the reference of future research direction. The major research objectiveswere to probe into: 1. the farmers’ association four main business departments’ ways of undertaking the CSR respectively; 2.the opinions of each stakeholder of the farmers’ association for CSR; 3. how the farmers’ association carried out the CSR for the economy, society, and the environment by means of the characteristics and functions of each department. By giving first place to the general manager of the farmers’ association,taking the major figures with relevance to the implement of CSR as auxiliary, and via the exploration, the researcher got the research results as follows: 1. It was necessary for the farmers’ association to pushthe CSR and accelerate the organization’s regional development; 2. It was important for the farmers’ associationto engage in the cultivation and upbringing for the agricultural human resources of the employees, members of production and marketing groups, and the farmers; 3.It was essential for the farmers’ association to fulfill the CSR for the economy, society, and the environment, and feedback to the community for sustainable development. Based on the above-mentioned research results, the researcher advanced the following suggestions: 1. Agricultural is the core value of the farmers’ associations; hence the farmers’ associations shall elevate the personnel’s quality, knowledge and ability, and cultivate the personnel’s core capability, strengthen the farmers’ associations’competitive advantages, and lead the agricultural industry to create new value; 2. To set up the farmland and agricultural human resources platform in accordance with the direction of thepolicy of small landlords and big tenant-farmers, and integrate the supply-demand information to achieve the activation offarmland circulation and utilization, and inheritance of agricultural technology;3. To integrate the community resources of the production and marketing groups, consolidate the competitive advantage by the way of cooperative group, and assist in the establishment of marketing channel of market of differentiation; 4.Each department of the farmers’ associations shall utilize the core resources and the core capability accumulated by the department’s characteristics and functions to perform the CSR, as a future direction. 羅芳怡 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 82 zh-TW
