Summary:碩士 === 佛光大學 === 未來與樂活產業學系 === 104 === The objective of this study is to explore functionality of the professional leaning communities after the Integration of preschools and kindergartens. Research included impact of the integration, reinforcement of proficiency enhancement for preschool and kindergarten educators, and the impact of professional learning communities on the educators. This study used qualitative research in-depth interviews with participants who are currently preschool and kindergarten teachers and are part of the profissional learning communicties. A total of twelve educators including eight kindegarten teachers and four preschool teachers were selected as research objects. The in-depth interviews were conducted by using self-constructed, semi-structured questionnaires and inductive analysis. Finings are presented as follows: 1.Impact on education system after the integration of preschool and kindergarten—Additional staffing requirement; current regulation does not support the actual staffing needs for after-school services during summer/winter breaks. 2.Impact of integration to preschool and kindergarten educators— Lack of professional knowledge and skills, interpersonal friction and teaching obstables from over-complicated administrative work. 3.Proficiency enhancement areas for educators after the integration— Curriculum planning, team leadership and management, interpersonal communication skills, administrative skills, team proficiency enhancement, familiarity of the regulation and policies, teaching skills, parenting education, and classroom management. 4.Professional learning communities for preschool and kindergarten educators provide three key functionalities: problem solving, support and encouragement, and additional resources. 5.Future directions for the professional learning communities: – developing special, innovative curriculum and teaching style – providing higher quality preschool/kindergarten heritage exchange and experience sharing. – recruiting new members and training new leaders for the communities. In conclusion, according to the research findings, impact of the integration for preschools and kindergartens and development proposals for the professional learning communities can be used as a reference for future study.
