Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 104 === This research studied the leisure scuba diving courses offered by local universities and colleges. The research methodology includes literature review and interview. The research reviewed the curriculum operational models of universities by investigating the curriculum development system, application of certification system, course content, teaching models, and suggestion for new curriculum. The results showed that all certification systems, despite with different focus area, played an important role in theoretical and practical courses. Different universities adopted different teaching procedures but with similar content. Depending on the characteristics of universities, these curriculum can be generalized into 3 categories: training for professional divers, training for academic researcher, and cultivating leisure activities. In summary, the research propose to: (i) increase collaboration with industry to shorten the process of relevant training after graduation; (ii) increase deep-water-pool training prior to open water practice in order to achieve a more thorough training; (iii) allocate more maintenance budget in order to increase the equipment lifespan. The research coverage can be extended in future work to include assistant coaches, students and universities from other states for a wider data coverage and analysis.
