The change of life attitude and personal values positively effects the economic growth and development in tourism, thus increase the demand of tour leaders. Tour leaders are the front line staffs serving customers. They are not only representatives of every travel agency, but also key persons influencing company revenue. The main purpose of this study focuses on the connection of different personal humor styles, charismatic leadership of group leaders and group relationship quality as well as group cohesiveness. The study issues 470 copies of questionnaires, within 416 effective questionnaires. SPSS and LISREL methods are used for analyzing data and examining connection of each research object. The study has following findings: (1) tour leader's charismatic leadership influences positive humor styles positively; (2) tour leader's charismatic leadership influences negative humor styles negatively; (3) positive humor styles influences relationship quality positively; (4) negative humor styles influences relationship quality negatively; (5) positive humor styles have no significantly influence group cohesiveness; (6) negative humor styles influences group cohesiveness negatively; (7) relationship quality have no significantly influence group cohesiveness. In conclusion, this study finds out if group leader with high charismatic leadership use different humor styles can effectively influence the quality of group relationship but has no outstanding influence on group cohesiveness. This study can help tourism-related industry understand customers’ wishes for group leaders, and provide useful suggestions.
