The study takes the literature reviews and data collection approaches to have a discussion on the status quo and development strategies of electric scooter industry in Taiwan and around the globe with an objective to find the key development factor of electric scooter; plus, based on the key development factors, we use “Diamond Model” to have an analysis on Taiwanese electric scooter industry development, also, with the assistance of SWOT Analysis, we propose reacting strategies based on strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of the competitive environment to plan the future development strategies for electric scooter. The study has the following suggestions on foundation of electric scooter industry’s future development strategies: the industry shall jump out of the frame of conventional fuel-consuming scooter supply chain and technology system and manufacture high-quality electric scooter with high performance targeting blue ocean market, along with the introduction of mature ICT industry technology in Taiwan to establish a holistic domestic technology supply chain system of electric scooter as well as facilitation of motor, cell and controller technology with pioneering research and development to make Taiwan an electric scooter manufacture mogul in the future.
