The challenge of the very low birth rates has been coming. The direct impact is the insufficiency of student’ recruitment, and thus the decreasing the size of class and redistribution of school became necessary. Therefore, a great deal of vacant school space appeared in school. In current study, Taipei Municipal Wan-Fan Elementary School as a demonstration, intend to reuse the vacant space, and implement a garden city and perform the school little farmer project by cooperating with Taipei Municipal government. The vacant school space has been reorganized to implement a field for little farmer learning. This study aim to investigate the satisfactions of students and teachers to efficacy of environmental education learning field after the vacant school space being planned to reuse as a happy farm via questionnaires. The results can provide a reference for the planning of vacant school space. Moreover, the results also provide a suggestion for the teacher that more adaptive teaching elements can induce more learning motivations in teaching activities. Finally, realize the reuse of space resource and, in conjunction with the course, apply what we learn in daily life can achieve the goal of sustainable campus.
