Methods: Conducted through the "National Nutrition and Health Survey" database analysis, sampling Seniors over 65 years as a research object, and all the information and the questionnaire with complete data, the total number of samples a total of 1,223 people; Short Form Health Questionnaire to assess the state of depression, Chinese dietary reference intake for the publication of the National health Department standards. Using the Chinese version of JMP 10.0 and SPSS version 21.0 software package descriptive and inferential statistics, independent samples T test, one-way analysis of variance, multiple regression and logistic multiple regression analysis. Results:1. The study found that seniors have imbalances in nutritional intake, including vitamin deficiency in vitamin E intake were the most numerous, accounting for 85.7%; insufficient intake of potassium minerals, compared to a maximum of 92.8%. 2. In this study, the prevalence of depression was 7.44%, 3.female, graduate education in primary education (inclusive), the difficult economic situation, suffering from two diseases more, higher depression scores, easier to produce melancholy tendencies. 4. Inadequate intake of vitamins (B6, C) and minerals (phosphorus, sodium) whose depression scores were higher, lack of vitamin C intake, depression, the higher the score, reaching statistically significant negative correlation (P = 0.047).; Economic difficulties and suffering for more than two kinds of diseases, and depression scores of statistically significant correlation. 5. Logistic regression analysis showed that age in the 75-79 years of age suffering from depression risk odds ratio (odds ratio) for the 65-69 years of age 0.42 times (CI = 0.2 ~ 0.82), the difficult economic situation who suffer depression risk odds ratio ( odds ratio) for the economy with no fear by 2.25 times (CI = 1.41 ~ 3.58), suffering from the two diseases than those who suffer from depression risk odds ratio (odds ratio) is not diseased and diseased one of the following by 2.56 times (CI = 1.5 ~ 4.59 ), reaching a statistically significant difference. Suggest:The prevalence of depression in seniors deserve attention, but the risk factor is age, economic status and suffering from chronic diseases have reached three kinds statistically significant and relevant, on the contrary, vitamins, minerals, insufficient intake have not been found statistical significance. But based on a balanced food intake may promote the overall health of seniors, it is still recommended that the present study, the silver-haired normal diet patterns should be timely supplement intake of vitamin C, and help to strengthen the old live assistance, health care, in order to reduce the problem of depression, economic and social impact of early prevention of psychological and mental problems senior citizens, reduce aging arising.
