The simplified model is adopted to conduct the primary design model prior to more rigorous model. Reinforced concrete design and wind resistance design codes are incorporated into the program to increase its multi-function feature. The research is composed of six chapters. The first chapter includes objective, literature reviews, outline of the study. Description and modeling of RC chimneys are given in Chapter 2. In Chapter 3, the wind and impact loads are introduced. This includes the possible aircraft impact description. Chapter 4 is devoted to the dynamic analysis of RC chimneys. Their natural periods are compared with empirical formula in current chimney design codes. In chapter 5, the damage relations of longitudinal steel ratio at chimneys and basic design wind speeds are correlated for primary practical design. The concluded remarks are depicted in Chapter 6.
