The survey research method was based on questionnaire survey. Study population was adopted on the public junior high schools special education teachers in Taoyuan County in the 2015 school year. The samples included 185 teachers purposive sampling drawn from 31 junior high schools in Taoyuan. Data were established and analyzed through statistic approaches, including frequency distribution, percentage, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Person product-moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression , etc. The results were as follows: 1. The conditions of special education teachers’ professional growth in Taoyuan junior high schools were at the level of high middle. Among the sectional scores,“Teaching knowledge and ability” is the highest. 2. The conditions of special education teachers’ teaching effectiveness in Taoyuan junior high schools were at the level of high middle. Among the sectional scores, “Multiple Assessment and Teaching” is the highest. 3. The professional growth of special education teachers in junior high school was varied with the following teachers’ backgrounds: ages, position. 4. The teaching effectiveness of special education teachers in junior high school was not varied with the following teachers’ backgrounds: sex, ages, marital status, professional background of special education, years of experiences as a teacher, type of class, position, school size. 5. The correlation between the dimensions of special education teachers’ professional growth and teaching effectiveness was positive. 6. The special education teachers’ professional growth had significant predictive power on the teaching effectiveness . Based on the research results, the author provides feasible recommend for the references to educational administration, school administrations, special education teachers and for further research on related topics.
