The handover procedure potency is researched through the measurement of information obtained by Reference Signal Received Power and the Bit Error Rate. With the ascending of high speed railways speed, the dependability and thoroughness of wireless communication systems in high speed railways appeal the known all over the world tending. The high speed furnish more severe Doppler carrier frequency offset effect, the adjournment of handover procedure and more frequent unnecessary handover. Consequently the effect induced by the high speed dwindles the firmness of wireless communication network in high speed railways. In this paper, an algorithm based on the carrier frequency offset estimation has been proposed to meliorate the system handover performance. The simulation show that the FHA scheme the handover performance is ten times as precise as the CP-based scheme when the train is at speed of 300 kilo meters per hour, the FHA algorithm progress the handover efficaciously, therefore improves the reliability and efficiency of CFO and channel estimation of 5G mobile communication network in high speed railways.
