| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 觀光與餐旅管理研究所 === 104 === Taiwan’s islands are rich with marine resources, so that water-related activities have gained lots of attention. The whitewater rafting is one of the most adventurous recreation activities because this type of recreational activity is increasingly favored by Taiwan residents, which has become one of the fastest grown outdoor recreation activities. Generally speaking, an adventure recreation activity is risk and challenging; therefore, the participants involved in such activities not only can seek sensation satisfaction, but also gain the benefits of psychological, physical, social and other aspects, as well as experiencing the joy for positive feelings and emotions.
Therefore, this study aims to investigate the sensation seeking motivation, recreation experience, and satisfaction of whitewater rafting visitors in Annong River, Yilan City. The 400 valid questionnaires were retrieved with data analyzed by SPSS19.0 statistical software version, with the application of descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, independent-sample T test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis statistical methods.
The results indicate that the visitors’ demographic variables such as socio-economic background have a partial significant difference in sensation seeking motivation. The visitors’ demographic variables such as socio-economic background have a partial significant difference in recreation experience. The visitors’ demographic variables such as socio-economic background have a partial significant difference in satisfaction. The sensation seeking motivation of visitors of Annong River has a partial significant impact on recreation experience. The sensation seeking motivation of visitors of Annong River has a partial significant impact on satisfaction. The recreation experience of visitors of Annong River has a partial significant impact on satisfaction. Further suggestions have been made in the study for future research as well as industry management.
