In this thesis, face recognition system considering moment images is proposed to model faces under various lighting. The continuity equation is proposed to extract the first angular moments of the light field so as to construct views of different light sources for recognition. The method reduces the time cost by few images from the training set. The experiments have been extensively assessed with the CMU-PIE face database.
