They support farmers to promo their goods, help them to sell and help farmers to get insurance, and also to improve the rural economy, promote rural prosperity. Changhua County have large population and it’s also the one of largest Agriculture County in Taiwan. But exactly how Farmers’ Association effect Changhua County? And the main factors of the Farmers’ Association will affect profit or loss? It’s worth to exploring.
In this research, using Data Envelopment Analysis, (DEA) to assess the relative efficiency of the 26 agricultural credit departments in Changhua area. Using CCR and BCC model to assess its overall effectiveness, technical efficiency, and analysis via the difference between variables, specifically discussed various credit. The main reason for the relative efficiency of the unit cannot be achieved by providing relatively ineffective. DMU its inputs and outputs to improve the direction and magnitude information. Finally, Using Tobit regression analysis to investigate the factors affecting the efficiency values for.
Research found out that the overall efficiency of Changhua Farmers' Association have average value of 0.98 or more, and the percentage of overall technical efficiency of township are 76.92%, overall performance is good. Pure technical efficiency in part, will be only a relatively small number of farmers whose efficiency value less than 1, other farmers will be its efficiency values are 1, showing that technical efficiency is very high. On the other hand, few farmers association will be less than its pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of its value, which may show over use of input factors, or produce too little for output, to change the efficiency of its phenomena arising.
Using Tobit regression analysis found out that staffs costs, business management fees, interest expenses and overall assets were up to 5%. This effect shows that all the expenses are not direct impact.
