Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 教育研究所碩士在職專班 === 104 === The purpose of this study was to explore the present status of the relationships between principals' space leadership and school innovative management as perceived by elementary school teachers in New Taipei City, as well as to compare the differences resulted from background variations and to analyze the relations between principals' space leadership and school innovative management. Finally, through principals' space leadership forecast the school innovative management.
Survey research method was conducted to elementary school 16,201 teachers in New Taipei City in the 2015 school year. Stratified random sampling was applied and 600 questionnaires were distributed. There were 560 questionnaires retrieved. In this study, statistical analyses included Descriptive Statistics, Independent Samples t-test, One-Way ANOVA, Canonical Correlation and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis.
Based on the results of data analysis, the major findings of this study were summarized as follows:
1. The perceptions from the elementary school teachers regarding the principal
space leadership were upper-middle, especially of “constructing of
educational space” was the highest , “users' co-participation” was the
lowest.
2. The perceptions from the elementary school teachers regarding the school
innovative management were upper-middle, especially of “innovation of
student activity ” was the highest, “innovation of administrative services”
was the lowest.
3. The gender, age, service duration, and position of the elementary school
teachers could cause significant difference on principals' space
leadership.
4. The position of the elementary school teachers could cause significant
difference on school innovative management.
5. There were high positive correlations between the elementary school
principals' space leadership and school innovative management.
6. Elementary school principals' space leadership had remarkable
predictabilities on school innovative management. And “space into
curriculum teaching” had the greatest predictability.
Suggestions for Manager educational administration institution, school administrative teams, as well as teachers, principals, and people to conduct further studies were established by combining the results of this study with information from relevant literature to offer as references for principals' leadership, practice applications in the schools and academic research.
