However, considering internal scarcity resources, enterprises concentrate on developing core competence and initiate to outsource information systems. It also happens in software industry that enterprises outsource or purchase the components of be-developed products through cooperating and integrating with counterparts. This study utilizes software developer as focal firm. It probes the effect of focal firm’s outsourcing management process on information system integration and the cooperative relationship with other firms, then attempt to figure out the key success factors which lead to successfully outsource. By employing depth interviews and case studies, the paper concludes 27 key success factors and the top five key factors are whether the parties which involved in outsourcing information system integration project (1) possess industry knowledge, (2) have sufficient professional skills, (3) provide appropriate human resources, (4) are partnership and (5) forecast implement cost rationally.
