Description
Summary:碩士 === 明道大學 === 資訊傳播學系碩士班 === 104 === Recently, because more people with disability accept higher education, the Ministry of Education defines "Guidelines for Counselling University/College Students with Physical or Mental Disabilities". It helps more disadvantaged students attend University year after year. Lives on campus consist of academy and interpersonal relationship. The disadvantaged students face new environments and new people around them. How to maintain a good interpersonal relationship is an important lesson. In this research, we document the interaction between the disadvantaged students and their fellow students through in-depth interview, participation and photography. Due to their impairments, the disadvantaged students are often intimidated by other students. And other students, because of the unnatural looks, hesitate to encounter with them. Thus, it results in a bad first effect. The inferiority inside and the disabilities outside make them feel alone and unnecessary in a group. Even if they force themselves to join a group, they may look awkward and other students may further stay away from them. The recency effect has no chance to correct the first effect in time and causes the negative effect. We want to change the impression the disadvantaged students give to others by photographing their own personal characteristics and their lives on campus. The researcher hopes this research make the regular students believe the disadvantaged students CAN as a beginning. Not to stay away from them because of their impairments. We will offer our in-depth interview and photographs files to the counselling center to build a database for further academic research.
