The influences of experimental parameters, such as reaction system, reaction temperature, reaction time and composition of reaction system in weight ratio, on weight loss percentage of PET, glycolysis percentage of PET, recovery percentage of BHET and solubility percentage of PET. DSC, FTIR and 1H-NMR were used to confirm the main product of PET basic glycolysis was BHET monomer, the results of identification of as-made ionic liquid is consistent with the results of standard. The experiment system of the [Bmim]Cl / PET, KOH / PET, and EG / PET can clarify the weight loss of PET in the reaction system is partly caused by dissolution of PET, and the impact of [Bmim]Cl, EG, and KOH on PET dissolution were different. Under the optimum glycolysis condition, reaction system of [Bmim]Cl / KOH / EG / PET, microwave out-put power 300 W, reaction temperature of 190℃, reaction time of 120 min, the weight ratio of [Bmim]Cl:KOH:EG:PET = 2:0.25:12.5:2.5, the weight loss percentage of PET is 100%, glycolysis percentage of PET is 66.3%, recovery percentage of BHET is 50.0%, and solubility percentage of PET is 33.7%. After separation and purification, the ionic liquid was reused 8 times, the weight loss percentage of PET average value is 99.9%, glycolysis percentage of PET average value is 64.6%, recovery percentage of BHET average value is 48.3%, and solubility percentage of PET average value is 35.3%.
