The source of research data in the study is supplied from air quality monitoring stations in Taichung during 2010 to 2014. Data on the concentrations of five environmental pollutants (O3, CH4, CO, NMHC, NO and NO2) and meteorological variables (air temperature, relative humidity and wind speed) were used to study on ozone and the related factors using correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and factor analysis. High O3 levels usually happened in the noon or in the fall or as wind speed is ranged from 1.5 ~ 2.5m/s. High O3 levels were accompanied by above-average levels of air temperature , CO, NMHC and NO2 , together with below-average values of NO and RH. The results of correlation analysis are showed that air temperature and wind speed are positively correlated with Ozone, and CH4, CO, NMHC, NO, NO2 and RH are negatively correlated with Ozone. Results of multiple regression analysis indicate that rise in O3 concentration is associated with a drop in the level of NO, NO2 and RH. Factor analysis shows that O3 concentration correlated positively with air temperature, and negatively with RH. Results of Factor analysis showed that air quality factors of ozone episodic days in Taichung can be summarized into three factors. Factor 1 is composed of CO, NO2, NMHC.
