This study evaluated and investigated the volatile of melon to attract female melon fly for oviposition. We used the Cucumis sativus juice mixed with acid agents and peptone to be a cucumber jelly and tested the effect against female melon fly. The results showed that the mean relative attraction rates of C. sativus juice mix with different acid agents (malic acid, citric acid and lactic acid) against female melon fly were 49.2±26.3, 28.2±22.7 and 19.1±15.1 %, respectively. The results showed that jelly treatments of C. sativus juice mix with different acid agents (malic acid, citric acid, lactic acid and control) against female melon fly, the mean relative attraction rates were 58.6±14.8, 15.0±13.8, 3.1±6.3 and 23.2±27.0 %, respectively. C. sativus juice mixed with malic acid exhibited the highest attraction rate against female melon fly. In greenhouse, the effect of jelly treatments of C. sativus juice mixed malic acid and peptone for attract female melon fly sustained to 3 days. The primary field test, the jelly treatments of C. sativus juice mixed malic acid and peptone can attract more female melon flies than control and sustained to 4 days, and there were no significantly different sustained to 5-6 days, according to the results it can sustained to 6 days. Confirm all the results, the jelly treatments of C. sativus juice mix malic acid and peptone has the potential against melon fly. YI-Yuan Chuang 莊益源 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 49 zh-TW |
