Analysis of the Problems during the Succession in Family Business -View of Successors

In this study, three different types of family businesses were chosen to discuss the problems during succession. By way of interviewing successors, we concluded several factors in the process, including supports from the previous generations, adjuvant or competitive expressions from other members in the family, the degree of cooperation that expressed from the seniors in the business, and the assist from professional manager. Furthermore, reforms in business by successor might cause some disagreements between successor and previous generations and seniors. We suggested that successors could take more focus on the intrinsic characteristics of family business, and the collaborative values in the family, thus, the problems would be more assuasive during the succession in family businesses.
