Therefore, the bore of pedal is pressed with bearing in tight fit situation which mean the dimension of pedal bore is not only affecting the bearing assembling but also the smoothly of pedal rotation. Thus, the key point of the satiability of the bearing bore dimension is by how to control the pedal bore in machining processing with its technological parameters. The purpose of this study was using the six sigma improvement (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) to figure out the pedal bearing bore in machining process optimization base on an empirical study from the pedal manufacturing company in Taiwan. The research method was followed the Taguchi Method to found out the best combination of the diameter of pedal bearing bore during machining processing. This study presents the Cpk is from 0.65 to reach 1.56 which mean the capability of processing has a significant improvement .Moreover, the prediction error rate can meet the accuracy of requirements. Therefore, the stability of dimension of bearing bore could help the improvement of quality control. The result of this study also provided Taiwan bicycle pedal manufacturing industry reference to enhance the quality of improvement.
