Generally speaking, prior to the establishment of information computer room, the spatial layout and placement of equipment cabinet should be planned first. The separation of heat and cold channel in the computer room can increase refrigerating efficiency of computer room and reduce the power consumption of air conditioner. After all, the mixed heat and cold air is the common phenomenon in the computer room, and if the heat and cold air can be separated and used effectively, IT equipment is able to work at suitable and normal temperature; then the appropriate air-conditioning system and power system are selected to carry out energy conservation and emission reduction and minimize the energy consumption accounting for the largest proportion of computer room (air conditioner and UPS), thus, when computer room is expanded to the largest load as planned, the value of PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) (the total power usage of information computer room is divided by the total power usage of IT equipment) can be up to standard and further significantly reduce the expenditure of future maintenance and operation of computer room. However, for the purpose of people’s simple, convenient and effective management of computer room and maintenance of operation state of current power, air conditioner, fire-fighting and safety (access control and monitor), the establishment of environmental monitoring system can meet the demand to prevent the collapse of each system in the information computer room. This paper integrated all the systems through Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to understand the operation status of each system inside the computer room in a timely manner. In case of abnormal situations, warning can be provided through PLC to inform the personnel immediately and further reduce risk and cost to achieve the comprehensive optimization and management of computer room.
