Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 都市計劃學系 === 104 === According to the statistical data from the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) of Executive Yuan in 2010, the housing vacancy rate at the west-central district of Tainan is up to 25.3%. There are many different architectures been preserved after each era, and most of them locate in the West-central District in Tainan. Recently many people start to renovate these vacant houses into B&B. Dated until 2015, there are 150 units which had been transformed. This research aims to analyze how sharing economy forms B&B industry in Tainan. The research method will be conducted through Ethnography by interviewing 11 B&B owners, initially just using vacant houses or vacant rooms for sharing, or using spare commercial spaces, and then to now, fully committed to running the B&B as profession. By analyzing through aspect of sharing economy, the former gets the essence of sharing, while the later is commercially oriented. In terms of the urban planning, any type of B&B that mentioned above, transforming partially or entirely from spare/vacant spaces, is no doubt a method that equipped with awareness of environmental friendly. And they are all good for increasing the mix-use spaces and decline the housing vacancy rate, which also provide flexible shelters for floating populations.
