| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 高階管理碩士在職專班(EMBA) === 104 === In the study, we elaborated the process of the formation, universal, and internalization of the Equator Principles and analyzed the strictness and the announcement of adopting Equator Principles III. We found that the Equator Principles is adopted in jumbo international financing projects, and that through the cooperation among governments, NGOs and world banks, the Principles arouse the attention of people all around the world. We also analyzed two international financial institutions, Wells Fargo Bank and Industrial Bank that adopted the Principles on 7/12/2005 and 10/31/2008 respectively, and compared their performance before and after adopting the Principles. We then discussed whether corporations benefit from adopting the Principles and including the Principles into internal control system. Last, we concluded the benefits of adopting the Principles for banking industry in Taiwan, and suggested to follow the steps of benchmarking enterprises in order to elevate the contribution and profession of banking industry.
