He was taught by teacher Jing-wei Lou who is a pioneer in fiber art, step into the road of dyeing and weaving craft.And continuing research and creation, creating personal feature of dyeing and weaving art and dyeing and weaving brand. After to investigate dyeing and weaving craft a decade at southwest parts of the continent. Rethinking natural dyeing techniques in Taiwan is gradually disappearing. Finally, assisting the revival of Sanxia indigo dyeing techniques. And the developmennt of dyeing and weaving craft of 12 community in the country. In recent years, he is engaged in natural dyeing creation and the product development of cultural and creative industry. Ching-Lin Chen’s creation focuse on nature and the environment. To show colorful nature and various geographical appearance. His natural fiber art presents ever-changing appearance and rich and diverse materials. His natural dyeing creation, to reproduce the colorful natural world, it is colorful and saturated. He is also good at using the indigo dyeing to prensent as Chinese landscape painting. Presenting heroic and magnificent momentum. This thesis aims to construct Ching-Lin Chen’s dyeing and weaving art overall experiences. To focus on processes of Ching-Lin Chen’s dyeing and weaving at this research. Combing his beginning of dyeing and weaving art. To present dyeing and weaving art in stages change. The end, concluding his creation distinctive. At the same time to elaborate on Ching-Lin Chen’s creation idea and the characteristic of works. Through field work and art theory analysis, to give Ching-Lin Chen a clear positioning of Taiwaness dyeing and weaving craft contribution and achievement.
