Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 光電科學與工程學系 === 104 === This work develops and analyzes a compact layered film for light emitting diode (LED) heat dissipation based on the method of passive cooling. That is externally applied input energy is ignored here. A feature of high absorptance of our propose film at atmospheric transmission region can be observed. The corresponding admittance diagram and absorptance spectra are also calculated and investigated. Electromagnetic and heat diffusion simulations based on the finite element method (FEM) are accomplished to verify that the design of the proposed film possesses the ability of decreasing temperature of LED with various heat input. Considering the typical LED in work (1 mm2 surface area with heat generation of 1 watt), the temperature can be decreased. A decrease of temperature can be achieved as compares to the LED without adopting our proposed design. This proposed design has potential application in the field of thermal emitter, photovoltaic-based device, and high power devices.
