To understand how selecting or promoting proper employees and managing teams by the influence of climate for innovation to increase the ability of creativity implementation are the purposes of this study. By examining variables from both individual and team level, data collected from multiple companies in Taiwan shows that individual level’s variables such as proactive personality, extraversion personality and experienced high performance work system were positively related to self-efficacy. Self-efficacy was also positively related to creativity implementation. For team level, transformational leadership was positively related to climate for innovation, and climate for innovation was positively related to team creativity. However, the cross-level moderating effect of climate for innovation to the relationship between self-efficacy and creativity implementation was not supported. Nevertheless, the cross-level direct effect of climate for innovation to creativity implementation was significant. The results offer insights for firms on how to make proper strategies for creativity generation and implementation by selecting and management in each industry.
