The method applied in this study was questionnaire survey. The questionnaire was entitled “The survey on the relationship between junior high school principal's cultural leadership and school organizational effectiveness in central Taiwan”. The 750 samples were the staff of the 49 junior high schools, the usable questionnaires were 580 , and the rate of usable questionnaires was 77.3%. In order to analyze the collected data, the statistics methods used in this study were descriptive statistics, T-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment. 1. Based on questionnaire data analysis, the study found that the junior high school teachers perceived principal's cultural leadership of high degree in central Taiwan. 2.Teachers aged from 31-40, full-time teachers, school history aged from 31-50, and principals having taken office to a school for 6-8 years or even more perceived higher degree to principal's cultural leadership. 3.Based on questionnaire data analysis, the study found that the junior high school teachers perceived school’s organizational effectiveness of high degree in central Taiwan. 4.Males, teachers slash headmen or director, urban area, school history aged from 31-50, and principals having taken office to a school for 6-8 years or even more perceived higher degree to school organizational effectiveness. 5.Principal's cultural leadership in junior high school in central Taiwan was highly related to school organizational effectiveness. Lastly, suggestions were proposed in accordance with research results: 1.For educational administrative institutions: Being cautious for principal’s selection, Increasing on principal’s in-service training and inheritance of experience, and focusing on principal’s needs for the school. 2.For all principals in junior high school: Advantaging on principal’s cultural leadership to promote school’s organizational effectiveness, retaining school’s old cultural spirit by using intrinsic incentive instead of external concrete totem, focusing on parents and community needs and response, and establishing the campus with “excellence culture” and “excellence performance”. 3.For all junior high school: Taking current school management into considerations to develop concrete goals of school’s organizational effectiveness , and encouraging teachers in the school to enhance teaching quality to be endorsed by parents community.
