The HHI is applied to measure concentration ratio of MRT passenger volumes. The Mann-Whitney U test finds no significant difference in inbound and outbound passenger volumes. The inbound and outbound HHI both keep declining since 2006. The MRT passenger volume in Taipei City still grows while the concentration ratio continues to decline. The operation of new lines made the concentration ratio further decline.
