碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 美術學系 === 104 === Abstract This paper deals with my personal analytical inquiry of creative progression during the years 2012 through 2015. Divided into chapters of an evolving creative progress, it concludes with the main topic concerning a series of codas concerning a “Generation of Weakness” primarily reflecting the artist’s own identity in times of place, generational background, environmental atmospherics, and from my own personal weltanschauung .Chapter 1 explains the influences upon my creative style, methods and techniques, as well as that which has personal meaning. Chapter 2 discusses examples of two older generation artists, contrasting these with modern social environment and those places as they were in the past. Chapter 3 mainly details work history in an organized vein since having entered the Institute in 2012,separated in series of categories with added interpretations to the artworks. Chapter 4 focuses on the series of artwork on the “Generation of Weakness” as the final conclusion. It mainly explains the malady of the Taiwanese people as well as the shock fatigue, languor, and enervating atmosphere of society and the larger global environment, which further impacts one’s own ego and spiritual control. Chapter 5 concludes with a look at my own unique personality, recognition and understanding of self, as well as explaining the inherent personal meanings and their relationships in my artworks, as well as future expectations and mutual encouragement by going through a new arrangement of the pieces in my course of work.
