碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 教育研究所 === 104 === This research aimed to study about deviant behaviour of the school boarders in Independent Chinese School in Malaysia. Qualitative research method is used in this research and structure interview is used to collect data from the students. Before the interview, the researcher gave a debriefing to 3 students’ parents and asked them about their opinion towards the school hostel. The participants are the school boarders who have been staying in the school hostel for three years. They are currently in their Junior Middle 3 now ( 3 males and 1 female ). The researcher interviewed the participants and went to the school hostel to observe the surroundings and to gather data for this study. Hence, the researcher has came out with 8 conclusions: 1. All the participants get used to the hostel’s environment. 2. All the participants have their own social circle. 3. All the participants’parents agreed with the rules set by the school hostel. 4. All the participants have their personal leisure activities respectively. 5. All the participants have the tendency to break the rules at times. 6. All the participants admitter that they have done mistakes and agreed to be punished. 7. All the participants have done mistakes because of temptations and peer pressure. 8. All the participants were worried about their future after they have received demerit from the school’s authority.
