Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 公共事務與公民教育學系 === 104 === Focusing on the junior and senior students in NCUE, the aim of the research was to investigate their career needs so as to their career choices. And, this article addresses the issue by performing both quantitative and qualitative research methods.To obtain the goal of the research, questionnaires and in-depth interview were done by both sampled "pre-service teachers" and "not pre-service teachers" as firsthand materials. To this end, a study has been analyzed, developed and completed by collecting multiple perspectives and views .The findings of this study suggested as followings. 1.The correlations between future career choices and teachers college were not significant. 2.The needs of career exploration for teachers college students were high. 3.Students in teachers college, both pre-service teachers and not pre-service teachers, faced different kinds of stresses, and “employ ability” were the main one. 4.Referring to the degree of career needs, pre-service teachers have an eye on "practical teaching experiences’’ and “job stress and the coping strategies”; on the other hand, not pre-service teachers aimed on “acquiring professional competence” and “understanding employment market“ the needs for them in these areas was relatively high. 5.Speaking of the degree of career planning, “self-exploration, life orientation and setting career goals”; realizing the importance of "setting long-term, mid-term and short-term goals” and the importance of “understanding procedures and methods of making career choices”; for teachers college students, the level of these needs was higher. 6.Mentioned of the degree of career preparation, attaining “strategies of improvement of competitiveness and enhancing self-confidence”; being aware of the importance of ” composing an autobiography , a self-introduction, resume" or the importance of "interview skills” , “ social and interpersonal relationships, corresponding and collaborating and emotion management" and so forth; the level of these needs for teachers college students was relatively high. 7.Teachers college students have more interests in joining in these "top five career activities”: (1)off-campus internship, (2)pre-employment courses, (3)business site visits, (4)alumni sharing the course of applying for a job, (5)job orientation and training courses and lectures on applying for jobs. The above listed suggestions are based on the research conclusions. It may serve as a reference for the universities of education, the students in universities of education, the parents of these students, and future research.
