Abstract
Chen Xue,an important novelist at Taiwan mesozoic,Since 1995, the first work “Evil Herstories” has published,she still working on writing so far,and the quantities of her works are considerable. At early stage, she wrote about homosexual,that show on the edge of the attention.Writing in the characters, in addition to lesbians,more incestuous with marriage and family,the poor,the deformity, mental illness patients, trauma survivors of these marginal figures.The breakthrough and change of Chen Xue's writing from the perspective of it.
In this thesis, “A study of marginal figures in Chen Xue's Novels” as the topic,and the analysis of the marginal figures in Chen Xue's works from1995 to 2014. First of all, back to the life experience of Chen Xue, on her personality and creative concept, as well as the significance of writing to the writer. Secondly, on the plight of the characters in the novels by the edge, and to observe the intention of the writer's writing.Furthermore, according to the shape of marginal figures in Chen Xue's works,to investigate the narrative technique, the dream show, the metaphor of the disease, imagery performance are discussed. Through the layer by layer analysis and interpretation of the process,I hope can let the readers have a deep understanding of the connotation and marginal figures that Chen Xue's has written.Further, highlighting the writer has paid attention to the marginal things and the intentions to expand creation territory.
