Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 農藝學系研究所 === 104 === The objective of this study is to investigate Pb distribution and accumulation by different rice cultivars related to the amount of iron plaque formed on root surface. Two agricultural soils (D and N Soil) used in this study obtained from Pb contaminated sites in central Taiwan. To mimic contaminated soil with a level of Pb near the soil hazardous threshold (500 mg kg-1) standard in Taiwan, one subsample of each soil used in this study was spiked with one of two levels (0 and 300 mg kg-1) for Pb treatments. Two rice cultivars bred in Taiwan, Tainung71 (TNG71) and Kaohsiung 145 (KH145) were used in the present study. A pot experiment was carried out with Pb-contaminated soils for 125 days to test accumulation and distribution of Pb in the rice plants of TNG71 and KH145. The results showed that the amounts of iron plaque formation on root surfaces of TNG71 were significantly higher than those of KH145. Compared with KS145, TNG71 had lower Pb concentrations in root and shoot; however, TNG71 the Pb lower concentrations in brown rice no correlation with high amounts of iron plaque formation on root surfaces that just the rice cultivars trait, but KH145 could be reduce the Pb uptake in brown rice by Fe spiked to promote iron plaque formation on root surface. The results revealed that the direction in the amounts of Pb uptake by rice plant TNG71related to cultivars trait, but KS145would be related to the formation of iron plaque on root surface.
