Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 教育行政與管理學系 === 104 === The Ministry of Education annually allocates large amount of funds to the REP, but from the forefront remediation teacher’s point of view, predicaments and deficiencies can still be seen during execution. Hence, the purposes of this study are to analyze the strategies to improve the REP at the school and produce a proposal lists as a reference for future REPs. Adopting the focus group approach, Happy Elementary School in Yilan County was chosen for this case study which consisted of eight school faculty members including the remediation teachers, REP administrative staffs, homeroom teachers of participating students, and the principal. Literatures on REP predicaments and improvement methods were first collected. A semi-structured questionnaire was then used to gather information on any REP difficulties that the school is currently facing along with feasible strategies. To understand how each focus group member ranked the importance of these strategies, an analytic hierarchy process was used. A corresponding weight table on “Improvement Strategies versus Predicaments” has been established. Through these, the conclusions of the study are: 1.The most important issue needs to be resolved is the insufficient ability of external teachers in their professional teaching and classroom management skills.(18.9%).2. To enhance teachers’ professional knowledge and ability and to organize teaching workshops is the most suitable improvement strategy to the school. (18%) 3.Using different strategies for different situations. For “not too many teachers are willing to be remedial teachers” issue, it is better to “promote the ideas of REP and give appropriate rewards” to solve the problem. Throughout the whole research, the REP process of the school has been recorded and analyzed, improvement strategies have been proposed, and hence can be used as a reference for future REPs.
