Description
Summary:碩士 === 國防大學 === 財務管理學系 === 104 === To maximize shareholder wealth, a company optimally uses all the production elements and resources at its disposal to improve its performance. Particularly, manager management capacity receives the most attention. In addition, a company should achieve entrepreneurial orientation (EO) to become innovative, proactive, and risk-taking in a constantly changing environment, thereby gaining a competitive edge in profitability. In the present study, a questionnaire was administered to a sample of listed and over-the-counter companies to obtain data on their EO. The data were examined using a quantitative analysis approach proposed by Demerjian et al., a data envelopment analysis model, and a Tobit regression to estimate manager management capacity. The findings are as follows. First, higher management capacity significantly increases a company’s overall performance. Second, higher EO significantly enhances organizational performance. Third, EO mediates the relationship between manager management capacity and organizational performance.
