Wood grain is mild and it owns pure and crude qualities. Wooden articles are always around our life that is very close to people and commonly used." When we pursue the good presentation between materials and technique, it shows our life experience and learning by our works ". Life to me is everything accumulated and repeated with accumulation of the wisdom, age, experience and emotion. Those accumulation brings us up, therefore comes into being the technique by accumulation repetition. By using the vitality and mild wood to create the stack wood layer by layer.
The base of my study that contains designs and techniques of wooden furniture and life experience. Using digital software to research the possibility for wood machining to organic shape. According to the feature of woods, design of speaker, the principle of varied space and the famous works, using concept stated above to probe as following:
1. The features of wood and the theory of shape.
2. Wooden technique by accumulation repetition to develop organic shape’s speakers and the furniture.
3. The technique of curly wood to become the organic shape’s furniture and the lights.
4. By combining wood with other materials, I design all kinds of wooden articles. Expecting for crafts to have varied presentations to make the life more beautiful.
Modern craft not only uses various Mixed media to show the aesthetic experience, but also provides diverse patterns for crafts. My study uses wood craft, bamboo crafts and mixing glasswork for design and study. Through the research to present better works that gives the assistance for inferiors to pursue higher goal. Result of the study stated as following:
1. Reference interrelated material feature and Art theory to prove series of works.
2. Using wooden technique by accumulation repetition to develop organic shape’s speakers and the furniture.
Completed works as follows: ”Reborn (1)”,” Reborn (2)”,“Variation-jump”,” Variation-turn”,” Permeate-rhythm”,” penetrated Memory”
3. The technique of curly wood becomes the organic shape’s furniture and the highlights. Completed series of works as following: “Pattern(1)”,” Pattern(2)”,” border : land and sky”
4. By combining wood with other materials, I designed all kinds of wooden articles. Completed works as follows: ”Shadow of light(1)”, ”Shadow of light(2)”
To review the process of my study, I summarized some points stated as following:
1. Treasure the leftover wood and old material.
2. Use wood suitably to produce mixed media with other materials.
3. Take advantage of digital software for assisting all kinds of shapes works.
4. Improve traditional tenon-and-mortise work skill to make the woodcraft on practicable.
5. Building an internet for regional woodworking resource.
According to my study result, analyzing the research and generalizing some recommendation to inferiors of woodcraft, bamboo crafts and other related students for future reference.
