Study on medical, entertainment, education and even to mobile devices has shown great contribution on human life. Those study use EEG to verify the influences of the stimulation on human brain activity. Analyze the response from brain when EEG is recorded. However, the expensive cost and hard setup of device have limited the application. Thus, this study is proposed to achieve a cheap and easy way for a research when EEG experiments are performed. This study is to investigate the variety of μ wave of EEG from the primary motor cortex of the healthy university students that without any history of mental illness. The experimental subjects wear wireless transmission of EEG machine and record the EEG signals when doing the movement of hand and writing. The recorded data are analyzed by the EEGLAB tool of Matlab. The μ wave is taken out from EEG signals and removed EEG EMG noise by using brainwave ICA algorithms. The μ wave analysis shows that the μ waves have more significant rise from the C4 point which is located at the area of right side of brain than the C3 point which is located at the area of left side of brain when the movements of left hand are done by the volunteer experimental subjects. The similar trend, actually swap, is observed when the movements of right hand are done. This study contributes a cheap and easy setup experiment for EEG study, and can be used for the future study on developing the interface of the human brain - computer.
