Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄海洋科技大學 === 供應鏈管理研究所 === 104 === Globalization has transformed business environments worldwide. But supply chain is more complex and long, the supply chain are impacted by the natural disasters are more and more. However increasing natural disasters result in damage to infrastructure and logistics disruptions in chains, and affect them the performance of organizations and transportation. The occurrence of natural disasters led to infrastructure and logistics interruption damage, thereby affecting the operation of enterprise and supply chain. For example 921 Earthquake of Taiwan, Hurricane Katrina, Eruptions of Eyjafjallajökull, 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami and Thailand floods are caused by damage to the supply chain. If companies ignore the various elements of the supply chain interdependence, will impact on operation of supply chain. In view of foregoing, this study was to investigate the relationship between natural disasters and supply chain disruptions. Analyzed the impact of natural disasters on supply chain risk. Resulted in manufacture, supply, transportation and electric power disruptions make efficient supply chain resilience strategies. Content analysis was used to analysis of natural disaster impact on supply chain and finding supply chain recovery strategies. The following conclusions: (1) Natural disasters are unpreventable occurrences that take place, each of those natural disasters that will have important impacts on the supply chain operations. (2) That impact of nature disasters on supply chain is supply chain disruptions. There are four types of disruption including supply disruptions, manufacture disruptions, transport disruptions and electric power disruptions. (3) Many companies use the following strategies to cope supply chain disruption: (a)Resilience to disruption in supply; (b)Resilience to disruption in transportation; (c)Resilience to disruption in production facilities; (d)Resilience to disruption in communication and (e)Resilience to disruption in human resource
