碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 音樂學系 === 104 === The focus of this research is Brahms Cello Sonata NO. 2 in F Major, Op. 99. The author studied Brahms’ life story and creative background in order to understand his music style, and then analyzed the themes, musical forms, motivation developments, and harmony structures in four movements of the music. In addition, the author further probed into the performance techniques and interpretations which the author considered to require special attention. The purpose of this research is to facilitate performers to have deeper understanding of Brahms’ music and creative concepts, and then interpret the music more completely in the performances.
