People with acquired physical disabilities would change their value system after acquiring disabilities, and their work values are worthy to explore. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the process and changes on work values of people with acquired physical disabilities. Narrative research method was adopted, and data were collected through in-depth interviews with three participants. Among three participants, two are male and one is female, with age between 35 and 57. Two of them are with severe physical disabilities and the other one is with extremely severe physical disability. All of the participants had at least 7-year work experience. The findings of this study are listed as following: 1.Employment, career, and family experience changed the aspect or degree of the work values of participants. 2.The degree of work values of participants increased with their career development. 3.The work values of three participants had an impact on their career choices, and career choices had changed with work values. 4.Three participants valued family and made their career decisions based on family’s expectations. 5.Two participants put emphasis on self-growth values after they faced the change of body functions, and they put emphasis on helping value after acquiring disability. According to the results of this study, suggestions for practice were listed as following:1. To provide psychological support for people with disabilities in the early stage of disability acquisition. 2. To understand about work values before matching jobs. Suggestions for future studies were listed as following:1. To further explore family experience. 2. To specify the definition of work values. 3. To interview participants whose career experiences are more complete.
