Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 教育學系碩士班 === 104 === This study aims to understand the relationship between the home reading environment and reading attitude among fifth and sixth graders in Qishan District, Meinong District, Neimen District, Liouguei District, Shanlin District, Jiasian District, Tao Yuan District, Namasia District, Maolin District of Kaohsiung city. This research adopts questionnaire method mainly,the researcher used the questionnaires designed by myself of home reading inenvironment and reading attitude in this study. The total numbers of the students filling in the questionnaire were 392, and the valid questionnaires were 362. The questionnaire data were analyzed statistic methods such as percentage frequently distribution, t-test, oneway analysis of variance, product movement correlation,and multiple regression. The results of this study showed: I.Elementary school students home reading inenvironment will make progress. II.Elementary school students reading attitude acceptable, but reading hobby is not good enough. III.Elementary school students of different family structure, parents educational level and school size show significant in home reading environment. IV.Elementary school students of different genders, regions, father educational level and school size show significant in reading attitude. V.The correlation between the home reading environment and the reading attitude exists. VI.The variable of home reading environment is effective to be used to influence the variable of the reading attitude. Finally, based on the research results, several advices are suggested as consultation for future researchers.
