| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 中國語文學系碩士班 === 104 === Pop music is one of the forms to express modern culture. It undeniably expresses the characteristics of this era. Through the combination of music and lyrics, which serves as the first hand information, one can learn not only the contemporary trends but also people’s various life styles.
For the past few years, “Chinese-style” becomes pupular with pop songs writers in Taiwan. Cooperating with Jay Chou, Wenshan Fang and Alang Huang are two exellent lyric writers. Yet, Alang Huang is much less well-known. Huang’s lyrics include exotic descriptions, allusions, images from stories and brilliantly described characters. Being chanted, his profound and refined lyrics present fantasticlly exotic themes and scenes required by the composers.
The chapter 1 is an introduction about the motivation, general situation, method of this research. The chapter 2 is the sketch of Alang Huang and the concepts of his creating lyrics. The chapter 3 is to discuss about the subject of his works. The chapter 4 is to anylize his creating feature, such as “exotic descriptions”, “allusions from stories”, and some writing techniques. The chapter 5 is to explore the principles and laws of his rhetoric and rhyme. The chapter 6 is to explain the universal phenomenon and the literary criticism of Alang Huang’s pop lyrics. The chapter 7 is to sum up this research.
This research is to discuss Mr. Huang’s lyric writing capability of his genius, who has not yet been discovered by the academic circle.
