Bao Zheng, the symbol of justice, was not only a typical model of honest and upright judge, but also a filial son. In the court, Bao Zheng was strong and resolute. People say, “Strict and refrained like him, he is the last person to bribe just like Yan Luo emperor, the ruler of the hell. ”He has become an unfalling star in the legend of the secular literature. Bao Gong is a true historical figure, which can be proved in the epitaphs, like Bao Zheng, Dong and so on. The same resource can be used to correct the errors from “Song Dynasty” and “Bao’s genealogy”. In the traditional novel, drama, andreligion, Bao Gong is a legendary figure and the reincarnation of the symbol ofwisdom in the folk legend. After he passed away, people apotheosized him as the fifth house of Yan Luo, a branch of the hell. Moreover, people built Bao Gong Temple to worship him.
