Continuing being fond of the growing and posture of the plants, the writer then met the pteridophyta which their attitude in the space attracted and inspired the writer to the artistic creation. Combining self-experience and observation, the writer expressed the personal emotions and narrated her stories by means of painting. The purpose of the research is to discuss the form of artistic expression to find out how emotions could be represented in the blank within the half abstract painting, could be applied under the interaction between thoughts and space, and finally could be revealed in the creativity of art. Through the textual analyses and summaries, the writer tried to cite the evidence and explanation to explore the concept and presentation of the “space” and the “thinking” in the art work. References include “Aesthetic sociology”,” Sociology of the Arts” and “Space philosophy”…etc.. According to different growing environments, the pteridophyta in this research provided various of appearances, which are sometimes black and white, and sometimes misty and humid in the writer’s mind, and inspired her in her creation of art. Each encounter recorded the journey of sensations. Therefore, there are three series in this research : “Spirit in the mountains” -In a misty space where the interplay of color blue and purple exhibit, the pteridophyta display the balance on the shape of green foliage and make the writer maintain the feelings of balance in her body as well. ”Rough seashores” – The ferns grow with courage and dignity in the austere surroundings. ”Urban corner” – In order to survive at the urban corners, the pteridophyta endure what they can and can’t bear under the urban land development and look for the chance to grow strongly. Via the three series, the writer tried to display the relationship among “the pteridophyta”, “thinking” and the time intervenetion. The conclusion is to reproduce the extension of thinking with the concrete posture of the pteridophyta in an abstract space, and to describe the similarity between the pteridophyta and the thoughts of the writer.
