The questionnaires were sent out to patients with type 2 diabetes. A total of 350 questionnaires were distributed, of which 349 were valid and the effective rate is 99.71%. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation analysis and multinomial logistic regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 for Windows. The results are as follows: (a) Patients with type 2 diabetes aged above 61 years old had higher sports participation than those aged below 60 years old. (b) A significant positive correlation was observed between perceived benefit of exercise and sports participation frequency; A significant negative correlation was observed between perceived barriers of exercise and sports participation frequency. (c) Perceived benefit of exercise could significantly and positively predict sports participation frequency in patients with type 2 diabetes; perceived barriers of exercise could significantly and negatively predict sports participation frequency in patients with type 2 diabetes. Based on the results, suggestions were addressed as follows: (a) The hospital and health care providers can inform patients with type 2 diabetes with the importance and benefits of sports. (b) The hospital and health care providers can design home-based exercise for patients with type 2 diabetes. (c) Studies can explore sports time, sports intensity and other chronic disease in the future. Ma, Shang-Min 馬上閔 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 67 zh-TW
