After the integration of city and county police departments of Taichung, policemen are always in a high pressure work environment and burdens are more complex than before. Under this circumstance, the tendency of early retirement and job rotation will speed up. Based on above factors, this study aimed at exploring the effect of psychological capital on job stress and life satisfaction of policemen. This study took 6th Precinct Taichung City Government Police Department as example and used a quantitative questionnaire survey to elicit and validate underlying model. 367 questionnaires are collected and Smart PLS is utilized to analyze collected samples and test the measurement model. Our findings show that positive psychological capital has a significant effect on job stress and life satisfaction. Also, job stress has a significant effect on life satisfaction. Meanwhile, positive psychological capital has moderating effect on job stress and life satisfaction. This study result can be referenced by the supervisor of Taichung City Government Police Department for understanding the relationship between psychological capital and job stress of policemen. Meantime, one day the work conditions and work environment could be improved.
