the economic interests has become the primary diplomacy task of most countries
today. Compared to past diplomacy priority of political and military, current inter-
national community clearly changed to use economic diplomacy about economic
relations with all countries to display their economic strategy. While Russia with its
inherent abundant energy reserves quickly accumulate economic strength from
political and economic order chaos after the Cold War. But at the same time, in the
process of the reemergence, Russia also face a series of multinational com-petition
pressure on the Eurasian region’s geopolitical economic structure. The great-power
status of Russia diplomacy goals is facing a severe test.
In response to a series of challenges on geopolitical and geoeconomic structure, since entry 21 century, Russia have begun to promote economic integration on Eurasian region and select near CIS countries as their economic diplomacy priority. It is trying to convince these countries to participate in the Russia-led regional integration and to maintain its traditional geopolitical and economic influence in the Eurasian region.
Therefore, the thesis will analyze from the perspective of economic diplomacy to discuss about Russia’s Eurasian regional economic integration strategy and dynamic process, card geopolitical and geoeconomic status of Russia on Eurasian region, explore the role and importance of Russia and relevant CIS countries in this process, and analyze the restriction about Eurasian regional economic integration strategy of Russia present.
