During and after the treatments of colorectal cancer, long-term side effects and sequels seriously affect quality of life in patients. But the issue of colorectal cancer care in patient with self-management has not been investigated in Taiwan. I thus want to further explore the correlation between self-management and quality of life of colorectal cancer patients after chemotherapy. Methods: This study describes the cross-sectional correlation designs. The using instructument included The Partners in health scale 2010 scale and The MOS 36-Item Short –Form Health Survey. This study started from October 2014 to October 2015.The number of sample cases recorded is 109. SPSS 22.0 software is used to carry out statistical analysis of the research data, including number of times, percentages, mean, t-test, one way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis described. Result: The results of the study were as follow:(a) in the self-management,the result showed the significant improvement on secondary education, feeling of economic status, cigarette numbers in a day, take exercise or not , exercise time, times of exercise in a week, the type of exercise, physical function ( b) In the SF 36 PCS, the result showed the significant improvement on continued working after diagnosis , , take exercise or not , exercise time, times of exercise in a week, the type of exercise, caregivers is whoself, physical function and hypertension ; In the SF36 MCS, the result showed the significant improvement on times of exercise in a week, self care , physical functional, feeling of economic status. (c) In multiple regression model, the factors of SF36 PCS were self-management, continued working after diagnosis, moderate exercise, caregivers is whoself and physical functional. The factors of SF 36 MCS were self-management, caregivers is whoself and physical functional Conclusion: These finding provide evidence on the importance of finding highlight the follow –up care needs and self-management promotion of cancer survivors Keyword: colorectal cancer survivors, self-management ,quality of life.
